In this special Student Debt edition, joining Sara and Jack on panel is Morgan Duggan, Assistant Director of Admission at Moravian College and Ron Glassic, Financial Wellness Consultant at BB&T. The panelists break down financial aid for incoming students and financial planning for those drowning in student debt.
About 35 incoming freshmen out of a class of about 475 participate in week-long, preorientation service projects through The 1742 Experience program. Leaders select participants based on volunteer experience and motivation.
But why “toxic” and not “poisonous”, I asked John Black, PhD, chair, Department of English and co-director of Medieval Studies at Moravian College. He thinks it has to do largely with the association we’ve developed of toxins as being unnatural, invasive and often undetectable until some damage is done.
When I asked one of the young women if she was a student, she said, “Yes, from Moravian College.” I would have been waiting hours for a tow truck to help me off the icy patch.
In case you missed the release announcement amid all the other news and campaign ads for the elections, the bottom line is that countries need to do much more to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to build resilience against the increasingly dangerous impacts of climate change. And they need to do it quickly.
This graduate program is intended to educate and prepare artists who want to create their own performances, instead of playing a supporting role in other, existing productions.
This semester, 24 Moravian College esports players are competing in the Eastern College Athletic Conference against 16 other colleges. Padilla is captain of the “Overwatch” team, a popular shooter game that includes 10 Moravian players. Moravian has teams for two other games: “League of Nations” and “Fortnite.”
His three-decade-long career in Hollywood was in the spotlight at Tuesday night’s “Inside the Moravian Studio: A Conversation with Daniel Roebuck” at Moravian. The event was hosted and moderated by Joel Nathan Rosen, director of Moravian’s communication and media studies program.
