Prospective & Admitted Undergraduate Students: Apply for Financial Aid

Did you know you do not need to be committed to a college or university before applying for financial aid? In fact, we strongly encourage you to apply for financial aid and receive a financial aid offer before you commit. It’s important to determine if a school is the right “fit” for you—academically, socially, and financially. By applying for financial aid prior to making your decision, it guarantees that you're making a well-informed decision about financial fit.

Application Process

Here's everything you need to know if you're a  prospective student applying for financial aid for the 2025–26 (fall 2025 or spring 2026) academic year. You're just three steps away from receiving your Financial Aid Offer from Moravian University.

Step 1: Complete your FAFSA

When it comes to applying for financial aid at Moravian, all we ask for is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Yes, we make it that simple!

  • The 2025–26 FAFSA will be available online at studentaid.gov in December 2024. We strongly encourage you to complete and submit your FAFSA as soon as possible. Submitting your FAFSA early ensures that we receive the application and can review your information to prepare and provide you with a financial aid offer in a timely fashion.
  • Each time you submit the FAFSA, you can list up to 20 schools of interest. You can list the schools by school code (Moravian University's school code is 003301) or by searching the name of the school. You'll want to send your data to any school you might be interested in applying to.
  • Starting in the summer of 2025? You may need to complete the 2024-25 FAFSA, also available online at studentaid.gov. If you aren't sure, check in with us and we can help!

Step 2: Apply for State Grant

For applicants who reside in Pennsylvania: The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) has a State Grant Application deadline of May 1. Be sure to submit your FAFSA before May 1 to be considered. You'll receive an email from PHEAA shortly after your complete your FAFSA with login instructions to complete any additional information that they need.

Not a resident of Pennsylvania? Inquire about any application and eligibility requirements for your state’s need-based state grant program.

Step 3: Submit Any Additional Info Requested

Financial Aid Services may need additional information from you in order to estimate or finalize your financial aid eligibility. Be sure to check your voicemails, texts, emails, and mail to see if you’ve missed a message from your financial aid advisor or admission counselor regarding your financial aid.

Receiving Your Financial Aid Award

If you’ve taken care of Steps 1-3 above, your financial aid award will be arriving soon! In the meantime, find out what to expect!

  • Once you’re accepted to Moravian University, your financial aid advisor will prepare a personalized financial aid offer for you. This estimated offer will include all primary financial aid resources you qualify for, based on the information known to the Office of Financial Aid Services at that time.
