The Lehigh Valley added another university to its roster. Moravian College is now Moravian University, expanding graduate-level education in Bethlehem.
Moravian’s President Bryon Grigsby says the transition to Moravian University was something that had to be done as the school expanded its curriculum.
“We have doctoral programs, 25 master’s programs, and “college” generally represents just undergraduate education,” Grigsby says.
More pathways for graduate-level study translates to more careers for students, he says.
The change will benefit undergrads too, he says, with more research opportunities, for example.
