Bethlehem, Pa., April 6, 2015 - Moravian College will take part in a "Take Back the Night" March and Rally against all forms of violence on Tuesday, April 7. The march will begin outside the H.I.L.L. on the College's Hurd Campus (South) at 6:15 p.m. Survivors, supporters and members of the community will march the “Moravian Mile” up Main Street to Johnston Hall on the College's Main Street Campus where the rally will take place. Events will conclude at the Peace Pole in front of Reeves Library, where a candlelight vigil will be held to honor those who have lost their lives to violence.

"The program aims to present a united front against all forms of violence within the Bethlehem and Moravian College communities by showcasing, students, staff and local groups' testimonies." said student organizer Phoebe Stone' 15."The rally will also include student and community artistic expression, in the form of poetry, dance, music and art. The event is sponsored by many local and collegiate groups with common anti-violence interests."

The Take Back the Night Foundation seeks to end sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual abuse and all other forms of sexual violence. They serve to create safe communities and respectful relationships through awareness events and initiatives. Men and women across the world are taking back their voices by speaking out against these crimes, but there is much to be accomplished in the fight to end sexual violence.
