September 2021

Michael Gurdineer passed away on September 8th, 2021.

May 2021

Assistant Band Director Allen Frank will become the fifth director of the Grenadier Band at Liberty High School when current Director retires at the end of the school year. 

November 2020

Christopher Pittman passed away on October 30, 2020.

Brian Corvino, a managing director at Deloitte Consulting, spoke at the AMCP Nexus 2020 virtual meeting about managing high costs of cell and gene therapies. He said, "We have the prospect of therapies that are truly curative in nature... These are therapies with a single administration, a high up-front acquisition cost, and often resource-intensive administration.” Another concern is the “uncertainty around clinical safety and effectiveness” of these new therapies “due to limitations in study design and outcome measures” as well as "the size and duration of clinical trials and the risk of high unrecoverable cost.”

October 2020

Chrissie Mondschein Stanglein married Nathaniel Stanglein on September 7, 2019 at ArtsQuest. Alumni in attendance included Rachel Mowrey Gutshall, Kristie Cupples-Snaith, George Hrab '93, Kyle Hummel '08, Mike Gill '01, Tom Mondschein '07, Stacee Cupples Hogan '06, Chrissie Mondschein Stanglein, Kelly Bradeis Muller, Mike Muller, Ginny Swett Stanglein '72, Debbie Noble, Lois Koehler Walesyn '75, Becca Krayger Bevich '03, Terry Stanglein, V.M.D. '73, and Jaimie Conahan. Chrissie also welcomed 2 kids, Ethan in June 2018 and Dylan in June 2020.


Biom’up named George Makhoul Chief Commercial Officer with responsibility for the United States.

Heidi Peoples of South Abington Township, Pennsylvania, won the Steamtown Marathon in a time of 2:55:09. This is her sixth win at Steamtown. At Moravian, Peoples was named Outstanding Senior Female Athlete. She won the 2001 Division III indoor 1,500-meter championship and was a runner-up three other times. She was a two-time runner-up at the Division III cross country national championships and completed her career as a 12-time All-American and 14-time MAC champion. Twice, she qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in the marathon.
