Mike Hingston has found a nice retirement home with Parkland tennis. After 30 years of teaching and coaching teams at high schools in New Jersey, he retired in September 2012, but he didn’t stay retired for long. Mike, who coached and taught at Williamstown High School in southern New Jersey and at High Point Regional in the northern part of the state, saw that Parkland had an opening for a boys tennis coach. He applied for the job and got it, but still kept making the 90-minute commute to High Point to coach girls soccer in the fall for a while. Then, two years later, Mike added the Parkland girls tennis post, and the Trojans tennis courts have become a welcome retirement home for him.

Christine Heske Taunton was a first year varsity assistant softball coach for Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in this shortened season.
