Leadership and Teamwork

What do leadership and teamwork have to do with your education at Moravian? In a word: everything.

Moravian University supports the tri-level theory of leadership, believing that you should explore and experience what it takes to be a strong leader and teammate at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

What Makes a Good Leader?

Leaders understand cultures and how they affect the achievement of organizational goals. They are skilled at developing individuals who work effectively in teams and manage conflict. Leaders know how to use their strong communication skills to present their findings and drive informed decision-making.

That’s why regardless of your area of study, leadership and teamwork will be part of your core curriculum. Your courses will incorporate collaborative work and leadership skill development in order to reflect the nature of the work you’ll be asked to do in real-world settings.

Skills to Last a Lifetime

During your time at Moravian, your academic advisor and highly-trained faculty will work with you to develop your leadership and communication skills even further. Our programs assess and develop your emotional intelligence, your capacity to make judgments, and your relationship management skills. By the end of your Moravian Experience, you should be able to include the following competencies on your resume:

  • Problem Solving
  • Global and Cultural Awareness
  • Ethical Decision-Making
